World Book Day

World Book Day

We celebrated World Book Day with a dress up for the learners, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

In the high school, we also did a quiz and awarded prizes to the top 3 learners. The best dressed learner in each phase also won a prize.
Recycling starts here!

Recycling starts here!

We are so happy to announce that we are starting a recycling programme at school that will be run by the learners, known as Eco-warriors, and administered by Mr Blignaut.

There is a huge need for recycling as pollution and the illegal dumping of waste is increasing in our metro.

We are starting with paper recycling, where after, other items will be recycled. This programme is not only about recycling and keeping the environment clean. It is also about educating learners to be mindful of the environment when they discard waste and to do so in a proper manner.
World Poetry Day 2021

World Poetry Day 2021

“Poetry is a form of expression. Writing it lets us get out our feelings and thoughts on a subject while reading it encourages us to connect and find meaning in our experiences. Poetry can have a positive impact on the social and emotional learning of children. It may offer them a new way of thinking about something.”- www.proudtobeprimary.com

Please scroll through to read some poems written by Mrs Polglase (High School English Teacher) as well as a few of our learners.
Class Attendance Update

Class Attendance Update

Last year we decided we would like all our learners to return to school on a more regular basis. The stability of regular class attendance helps learners successfully complete their school year.

We have installed screens in our Grade 1, 2 & 3 classes to ensure that all our learners can attend school from Monday to Friday. This means all the work can be covered for term 1.

Currently Grade 4 -7 are coming to school from Monday to Thursday, but we are in the process of introducing Friday as well in order to consolidate subjects.

Our Grade 8 and Grade 9 learners attend school four days a week, Monday to Thursday.

Our Grade 10-12 learners attend school from Monday to Friday.

We thank our parents for their continuous support as we navigate these uncertain times.
