We celebrated World Book Day with a dress up for the learners, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
We are so happy to announce that we are starting a recycling programme at school that will be run by the learners, known as Eco-warriors, and administered by Mr Blignaut.
There is a huge need for recycling as pollution and the illegal dumping of waste is increasing in our metro.
“Poetry is a form of expression. Writing it lets us get out our feelings and thoughts on a subject while reading it encourages us to connect and find meaning in our experiences. Poetry can have a positive impact on the social and emotional learning of children. It may offer them a new way of thinking about something.”- www.proudtobeprimary.com

Last year we decided we would like all our learners to return to school on a more regular basis. The stability of regular class attendance helps learners successfully complete their school year.
We have installed screens in our Grade 1, 2 & 3 classes to ensure that all our learners can attend school from Monday to Friday. This means all the work can be covered for term 1.
Currently Grade 4 -7 are coming to school from Monday to Thursday, but we are in the process of introducing Friday as well in order to consolidate subjects.
Our Grade 8 and Grade 9 learners attend school four days a week, Monday to Thursday.
Our Grade 10-12 learners attend school from Monday to Friday.
We thank our parents for their continuous support as we navigate these uncertain times.
