Willow Academy was born out of a desire for Christian Education among parents in Port Elizabeth. A private school, Willow Academy, began with three children under the care of our visionary, Mrs Rose de Vos, who decided to call the school Noah’s Ark Pre-School.

In January 1988, Pastor Jimmy Crompton, the Senior Pastor of Word of Faith Christian Centre, Port Elizabeth, felt led to start a Christian school that the children from Noah’s Ark could attend after graduating from Pre-School. This was when Word of Faith Christian School was established. With only nineteen learners and two staff members, the school began in the back hall of the old Word of Faith Christian Church building in Harold Road, Charlo, Port Elizabeth.

Starting off with the then popular ACE home schooling curriculum – a US-based curriculum – Word of Faith Christian School became one of the first few multiracial schools in Port Elizabeth, and soon, began to grow.  This is when the staff decided to develop their own curriculum, which would incorporate Christian Education.

Ultimately, Word of Faith Christian School outgrew its Harold Road premises and upon doing so, saw God miraculously intervene and provide a school building in Fairview. The school’s name was changed to Willow Academy shortly afterwards.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”SCHOOL MOTTO” color=”juicy_pink” el_class=”h2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In Spirit and In Truth.

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him.”
